After a long arduous journey and many sleepless nights, it is finally here.

The first edition of INQ had arrived and had awoken many intellectually starved minds in the process.

INQ had been brewing for some time. The seed was planted in the minds of many creative people and started to germinate, enriching the dull, lifeless soil that surrounds us.

We are a body of writers and designers, and our numbers are limitless. Our people are from different backgrounds and INQ is the adhesive that binds us together. We’ve had no funding, no help from mainstream media and there is nothing out there that represents us, except us.

We are not defined by international borders, or religion. Instead we are defined by thought, humour and progress. Our people share the same philosophy: to increase awareness and decrease ignorance of diverse issues. We do this by featuring material that dwells beneath the mainstream, and by giving voice to alternative truths that relate to inner city individuals.

We may not be able to make poverty history, stop the war, or cool the globe, but we can be the change we wish to see happen. The era of Urban intellectualism has dawned.
