INQ is nothing without the people..

There are a variety of creative and exciting ways to contribute to INQ magazine. We are offering designers and artists from around the world the opportunity to expose their work to over 100,000 people via our magazine and website.

Artists can contribute as much work as they desire to be considered as editorial features within the magazine. We frequently hold 'thINQ' events where we showcase our contributor’s creative work and launch the latest edition of INQ magazine. This is great for networking and exposing your talents, and artists are invited to perform within the crowd.

INQ Magazine: Design the cover

With every edition of the magazine we give you the opportunity to design the cover.

Step 1

Find out when the next submission deadline is and what the next theme is. Create your cover based on the given theme. Your interpretation of the theme can be made using: graphic design, illustration, photography, type or any other form in which we can print. Your cover should be:

  • A5 size (148x210 mm)
  • File Format: JPG or PNG
  • Resolution: 300 DPI

Step 2

Your design must incorporate the INQ logo or leave a space for it In addition to your cover design entry, you are also required to write a few short sentences (500 characters max)detailing how your entry is related to the theme

Step 3

Send in your cover to Submissions@inqonline.com

The subject line in the email should read “COVER” Make sure you send your entry as soon as possible before the deadline. The winning cover will be printed and distributed throughout the INQ network, giving huge exposure to your design work.

INQ Magazine: Urban Ganda
To complement our theme, we have Urban Ganda spread throughout the magazine. Urban Ganda are pieces of design that are theme related and raise the profile of issues and struggles that receive little exposure. Chosen designs are often thought provoking for the eye and mind.

In Edition 1 David Hernandez used the theme of ‘Revolution’ to highlight the cause of EZLN (Zapatista revolutionary army, Mexico) and in particular of Subcommandante Marcos, giving it his own fashionable design twist.

In Edition 2 Pavel Mamontov used the theme of ‘Faith and Capitalism’ to create stunning pieces highlighting the often unseen relationship between these two contexts.

If you would like to contribute a piece to the next Urban Ganda then…

Step 1

Create your piece(s) on the given theme. Your interpretation of this theme can be made using: graphic design, illustration, photography, type or any other form in which we can print.
Your work should be:

  • A5 size (148x210 mm)
  • File Format: JPG or PNG
  • Resolution: 300 DPI

Step 2

In addition to your work, you are also required to write a short paragraph (500 characters max) detailing how your entry is related to the theme. 5 winning pieces will be chosen. You can send in as many entries as you want, and have the chance of being chosen to do the whole Urban Ganda section if we think your work is tight!

Step 3

Send in your piece(s) to Submissions@inqonline.com The subject line in the email should read “URBAN GANDA” Make sure you send your entry as soon as possible before the deadline The winning pieces will be printed and distributed throughout the INQ network
